Although this sectiion is supposed to be at least vaguely chronological, here are two pictures of our eldest, Alitia, first as a pretty young girl and then as the charmer she became some twenty years later.
Our first joint effort was Alistair, who after the inital pain for Alice, developed into quite a water rat. This remains today as he has become a swimmer to put both Alice and I to shame.
Although not specifically a “Daddy’s boy” Alistair was always prepared for a chat over the breakfast toast or a quick game of football. Something that remained to the latter period in Malaysia since he appeared to have a hobby of buying footballs.
