My first wife, Cheryl, died after a brave fight against leukaemia, which struck on our return to UK from Nigeria. For some considerable time thereafter no interest in women arose, however later I began to have the occasional girl friend, but no spark burst in to flame to say that this was likely to lead to a new life. However I met a Filipina while visiting Hong Kong. There seemed something special and although in KSA I knew numerous Filipina nurses, some of whom had unexpectedly suggested marriage, I found my mind straying always to Alice. As a parenthesis I may say that for years she believed that I genuinely needed to been shown the way on the MTR! What lies I tell, to meet a beautiful lady
As an aside, Saudi also had another attempt at finding a wife for me. While I was working there a Pakistani colleague had asked why I had not remarried and decided something should be done. His wife, knowing I was not a Muslim, therefore wrote back to Pakistan to the father of an old friend, who happened to come from a Christian family. A few weeks later I was presented with a photograph of the lady and a letter confirming that the father had approved the marriage. A certain amount of fast talking was required to prevent insult when I had to refuse the kind offer.
Luckily she did not fall off!
Always a pose, always a smile
Looking good
. . . again
. . . and again!
Here we have five photos taken  before our marriage and mostly before our engagement. They are enough to show that Alice was not only fun to be with but extremely attractive!
