Above on the left is a favourite picture taken some 15 minutes before Alice at long last consented to our marriage, to the right is one taken on that particular visit to Hong Kong in order to see her (and pressure for a definite answer) but taken the preceding day.
And having finally persuaded her to take the risk, we planned a wedding in Mangagoy, so all the family could be there.
This was quite a day, Alice looked absolutely splendid in the dress she bought in Hong Kong, and I looked a simpering idiot throughout the day. Having such a great time seemed to make me wear a somewhat silly grin through out the day.
